When we hired Alli B, we were considering putting an addition on our 1400 square foot house. Multiple sessions over a few months have gotten our entire house organized. Alli B helped us declutter in a way that felt comfortable for us - she was professional and nonjudgemental and allowed us to make the decisions on what to keep and get rid of without pressuring us. She offered her advice when asked, but helped guide us through the process so we decided for ourselves. She made space for the things that are important to us and organized them in a way that makes sense for how we use them. Sometimes organizing took a few iterations, and she was always patient and willing to adjust things based on our feedback. Our house isn’t always tidy, but it’s easily tidied, which is the goal. Even our four year old knows that all items have a home and need to be put back there (although he doesn’t always put them back…yet). More importantly, having homes for everything allows me the space and time to do things for myself instead of always feeling like I should be cleaning. There’s no price tag on that feeling. Organizing our whole home with Alli B was an investment, but one that was well worth it.

“At a very stressful time in my life (I had just become a business owner, I lost a loved one) I researched many organizers in Pgh and had consultations with many. I chose Alli because she was the first one to ask "why do you think you do that?" in response to me describing my hectic routine in one area of the house, which told me she was thinking about the psychological aspects of disorganization, and that was VERY important to me as my husband and I are both very sensitive and anxious people! Speaking of my husband, he was very nervous about this process for a variety of reasons and Alli was so wonderful with him and put him at ease immediately. During times when she could see him becoming uncomfortable or anxious she would ask him if he wanted her to stop. If there were times when I wanted her to push him a little further she would do so gently. I also chose her because she took notes during the consult and then referenced those notes during our first session, a HUGE green flag for me! Lastly, she provided one of the main things I needed in order to do this which is time management skills as well as prioritizing what is important to accomplish in a given time with her vs. on my own. If she saw me rabbit holing in one area she would put me back on task, and I truly wish I had that 24/7!”
