Or maybe you have kiddos at home and need help getting all of the totes out of your basement. Or maybe you’re a family member or friend who wants to do something special for someone who is expecting. Whatever the reason you’re here… I’d love to share with you how I can help.

Let me tell you more…

The Details

What is a Nesting Party?

A nesting party can be many things… but typically it is a party thrown for an expectant mama to help her get the house prepped for baby and for the postpartum period.

It can include meal prep, furniture building, organization, laundry and more!

Why have a party instead of hiring you to do it?

Truth be told, I would love to come organize for you! And if that is what you’d prefer… click here!

However, having a nesting party can be beneficial in many ways. Some of the benefits include: it is a more cost effective option; other things get done in addition to organizing; you get to include your friends and family; things get done much quicker; IT’S FUN!

Why should I hire a host?

So often I hear women say “I’m having a nesting party… but I don’t think we will get anything done.” And I’m here to change that. I believe that nesting parties can and should be fun… but the ultimate purpose is to bring a sense of preparedness and peace to our expectant mamas. A host (aka me) will keep the momentum going, delegate the tasks and bring my expertise.

What Is Included?

  • Personalized Invitations

I will send out personalized virtual invitations to all of your guests. Coordinate based on their skillset, send reminders and be your host and liaison.

  • 3 Hour Party

You and up to 6 of our closest family and friends will get together to work on whatever you have deemed a priority! And I am there to delegate, motivate and work alongside you. This could be meal prepping, building furniture, doing laundry, setting up the nursery, writing thank yous, or even cleaning. The possibilities are (almost) endless.

  • Prep and Planning

We will meet via zoom a month before the party. I will learn all of your hopes and expectations. I'll also learn about your home, your guests and we can even talk a little about the baby on board! If anything needs done in advance, we will come up with a gameplan. We want to be able to hit the ground running when your guests/helpers arrive.

  • Favorite Product List

While I do have some favorite baby products, that I'm happy to share... you'll receive a list of my favorite organizing items for both baby/nursery and for parents.

  • My Expertise

Not only am I a professional organizer, but I am a mom. And I have been a manager many times over. I bring all of these skills to your home to make the most of our time together. I can keep your guests on tasks but also make sure that everyone is having a good time. And I will organize right alongside you and your friends.

  • Meal Prep Measuring Spoon- Helping expectant mothers prep for babys arrival

    Meal Prep Menu

Some of my expectant mothers don't love to cook, or don't have the stamina to be in the kitchen for a long time. Meal prepping can be done by some of your guests to load up your freezer for when baby arrives, and you have even less ambition/energy to be in the kitchen. We want you to get all of the baby snuggles, and not worry if you've eaten that day!

Frequently asked questions

  • I am a professional organizer (duh).

I pride myself on getting to know my clients and their families, and creating an organized home that is not just beautiful but is functional too!

I live in a 1920's farmhouse, so not only can I organize big/new spaces, but I have a knack for the difficult and weird spaces as well.

I specialize in organizing with new parents. I take my personal journey through motherhood (I have a toddler so I’m in the thick of it), and use it to provide systems and organization that will help your family not just survive, but thrive in this new journey.

  • You absolutely can! But a nesting party can save you time and money if you have people local to help you! If that isn’t the case, I would LOVE to help you organize with my New Parent Packages!

  • A nesting party should be held 1-2 months before baby’s expected arrival. Booking ASAP is best as I like to meet with mom-to-be, at least a few weeks before the party and we want to get the invitations out too!

  • 4 hours in-home (3 hours party),

    1 hour virtual consultation,

Travel time up to 45m each way,

Labels (on site or mailed within 1 week),

    Recipes for meal prep,

    Organization favorites list,

    Personalized digital invitations,

    Reminders,

    Day of coordination,

Communication up to the day of the party…

    and more!

  • If you have products you’d like to use, we can absolutely do so. Or perhaps you registered for some, I can give you feedback with my optional Registry Audit! As for purchasing, during your party I can make recommendations and you can find links in the provided organizing favorites page!

  • Yes! Custom labels are included in your Nesting Party. These will be made with my own label make either on site or mailed within 1 week of your party. If you would like Cricut labels, those come at an extra cost but can be made for you and mailed!

  • Think about all of the things you are dreading about prepping for baby. Those should generally be your highest priority. Outsourcing your least favorites will leave time for the things you don’t mind. I also recommend thinking about the timing and any restrictions you may have.

  • You can purchase an optional Registry Audit and also food/drink for day of the party.

The registry audit includes checking for duplicates, storage recommendations, suggestions on changes to make based on what I see during our consultation/planning session.

Food and drink can be purchased. Options include Bagels, Donuts, Coffee or Juice. Up to $50 food. Anything extra will be billed to the individual who paid for the party.
